US Passport Photo Online makes and checks photos for U.S. passports, visas and green cards. This page explains what we collect, why, who helps us, and how long we keep it. We use your photo only to make and deliver your photos. We don’t sell your data.

What we collect

  • The photo you choose. The live camera preview stays on your phone: the face guidance runs in your browser. Only the photo you take or upload is sent to us.
  • The photos we make from it: the cropped digital file, print sheets and a preview, plus the measurements of the check.
  • Your email, if you buy or sign in to My photos. We use it to send your download link, a receipt link and one-time sign-in codes.
  • Order records: the document, package, price, payment status and dates.
  • Technical data: your IP address, used briefly to limit abuse (rate limits), and standard server logs.

How your photo is processed

Your photo is sent over an encrypted connection to our image-processing server, which crops and resizes it and sets a plain white background. It does not retouch your face. The files are stored on our own server storage for the time shown below.

How long we keep it

Photos you didn’t buyAutomatically, 7 days after upload

Delete my photo now. You can delete your photo and files at any time from your success page or your order page. Deletion removes the files from our storage right away.

Who helps us

  • Dodo Paymentsis the merchant of record and processes your payment. We never see your card number. Dodo’s own privacy policy covers the data you give it at checkout.
  • Cloudflare carries all traffic to the site (network, security and DNS), so it handles requests and IP addresses.
  • Email delivery: download links and sign-in codes are sent through an email provider.
  • Google (MediaPipe):the in-browser face guidance uses Google’s MediaPipe library. It may send Google anonymous usage counters (task type, browser family, timing). It sends no images or face data, but the request reveals your IP address to Google.
  • Analytics: only if we turn it on. When analytics is configured, we measure page views and flow steps to improve the site. We never send your photo to analytics.

Cookies and browser storage

The photo flow keeps your session in your browser’s storage and the page address so you can resume after a reload. If analytics is turned on, it may set its own cookies.

Your choices and rights

You can delete your photo at any time, and you can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data by emailing [email protected] from the address you used. We may keep order records the law requires.

Children

Parents and guardians may take a photo of their child for a passport application. The service is meant to be used by adults.
