US Passport Photo Online is an independent service, not affiliated with the U.S. Department of State or any government agency. The official photo rules are at travel.state.gov (opens in a new tab), and only opr.travel.state.gov (opens in a new tab) can renew a passport online.

We crop and resize your photo to the size for your document and set a plain white background. We don’t retouch your face. We then check it against the published rules (photo size, head height, eye line and face count) and show you the results before you pay.

No guarantee of acceptance.Final acceptance is decided by the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. embassy or consulate, or USCIS reviewing your application. Some rules (glasses, photo age, filters, lighting) depend on how you take the photo, and you’re responsible for them.

Online renewalis a free check only. We don’t sell a processed file for online renewal: upload your original photo at the renewal site.

Prices are shown before you upload: Digital $6.90 (downloads for 7 days) and Digital + Print $9.90 (downloads for 30 days). You pay once; there’s no subscription. Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record and may add applicable taxes. Refunds follow our Refund policy.

• Upload only photos of yourself, or of someone you’re allowed to act for (such as your child).
• Don’t misuse the service, overload it, or try to access other people’s files.
• Keep your download links and sign-in codes private: anyone with the link can download the files.

Your photos stay yours. We use them only to make and deliver your photos, and we delete them as described in the Privacy policy. Download your files before your download window ends.

The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the order concerned. We aren’t liable for application delays, travel costs or government fees.
